HCA, HPCANYS & HCP Home Care and Hospice Emergency Preparedness Forum #2

Join us for a FREE virtual Home Care and Hospice Emergency Preparedness Forum. The Home Care Association of New York State (HCA), the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of New York State (HPCANYS) and the New York State Association of Health Care Providers (HCP) are conducting this Forum as part of a series of activities funded by a grant from the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), and administered by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH) Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response (OEPR).

The forum will feature a panel of subject matter experts in the field of cybersecurity and will focus on awareness, risk mitigation strategies, emergency and incident response planning, recovery strategies and upcoming regulatory changes specific to the home care and hospice sectors. Resources for prevention and managing cyber security issues will also be provided.

  • Dennis Ast, CPCU, CCIC, Senior Account Executive/Cyber Risk Specialist OneGroup
  • Dennis O’Connell, Director of Security Solutions at Custom Computer Specialists
  • Crystal Wilson, CISA Cyber State Coordinator Region 2

Al Cardillo, President and CEO, HCA, Eva Cohen, Director of Regulatory and Community Affairs, HPCANYS, Carole Deyoe, RPh, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Special Programs, HCP, and Rebecca Gray, Executive Vice President for Clinical and Program Affairs, HCA, will also provide brief updates on current topics in emergency management affecting home care, hospice and community-based services providers.

The Forum gives home care and hospice providers in attendance the opportunity to share their comments, questions or concerns on any Emergency Management Preparedness issues that face their agencies. Your participation in the open discussion helps prioritize and shape future emergency management programming.
