From 9/11 to October 7: Mental Health Lessons for Future Mass Trauma Events
A Joint Initiative of Mount Sinai Health System and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center
As the world faces an increasing number of manmade and natural disasters, communities are compelled to strengthen emergency preparedness. Yet, too often, the mental health impact of these crises is addressed only after the fact.
Join us on June 5-6, 2025, for a groundbreaking conference that brings together mental health, healthcare, public health, and emergency management professionals to reshape the future of mass trauma response.
This initiative is led by the experts who directed the organized psychiatric response to 9/11 in New York City through Disaster Psychiatry Outreach, as well as the Assif Medical Trauma Center in Israel post-October 7th.
Drawing from the hard-earned lessons of America and Israel, we will harness our collective expertise and experience to transform past tragedies into a more resilient and prepared future.
