Non-Acute Care Coalition Kick Off Meeting Registration

The New York State Department of Health (DOH) Metropolitan Area Regional Office (MARO) will host a virtual meeting on October 23 to introduce staff and highlight a new emergency preparedness initiative for non-acute health care organizations, including GNYHA continuing care members.

The initiative is designed to strengthen readiness, preparedness and response capabilities among non-acute care facilities and regional partners across the MARO area, including New York City, Long Island, and the Lower Hudson Valley.

Susan Miller, DOH-MARO’s new Regional Long-Term Care Preparedness Planner, will host the event and discuss trainings, exercises, technical assistance, and best practices to build and enhance preparedness in the MARO region. GNYHA’s Lisa Fenger will give introductory remarks. The program will also highlight a case study of a recent assisted living facility evacuation and provide an eFINDS training session.
