LTC-DPC: Long Term Care Facility Evacuation During the January 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires
GNYHA will host a Long-Term Care Disaster Preparedness Council (LTC-DPC) meeting on November 5 at 2:00 p.m. The meeting will be offered virtually and in-person at the GNYHA offices. Presenters from the California Association of Health Facilities, HumanGood Senior Living Facilities, Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency, and Global Readiness Partners will discuss the decision-making and coordination processes and challenges during a large-scale urgent evacuation based on experiences during the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The GNYHA Emergency Preparedness team will also provide emergency preparedness program updates and discuss future continuing care programming.
The National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards will likely approve approximately two hours of continuing education credits for nursing home administrators who attend this meeting. Please note that the meeting will not be recorded.
