Community health centers, including Federally Qualified Health Centers, are safety net health care facilities that provide primary, mental health, dental and vision care to individuals regardless of immigration status, insurance coverage, or ability to pay.

They provide care to an underserved, diverse, and multilingual patient population with a majority living at or below the federal poverty line. Community health centers also provide services to reduce barriers to care, including transportation, translation, and connection to other social services.
