SUMMARY:Non-Acute Care Coalition Kick Off Meeting Registration
DESCRIPTION:The New York State Department of Health (DOH) Metropolitan Area Regional Office (MARO) will host a virtual meeting on October 23 to introduce staff and highlight a new emergency preparedness initiative for non-acute health care organizations\, including GNYHA continuing care members. \nThe initiative is designed to strengthen readiness\, preparedness and response capabilities among non-acute care facilities and regional partners across the MARO area\, including New York City\, Long Island\, and the Lower Hudson Valley. \nSusan Miller\, DOH-MARO’s new Regional Long-Term Care Preparedness Planner\, will host the event and discuss trainings\, exercises\, technical assistance\, and best practices to build and enhance preparedness in the MARO region. GNYHA’s Lisa Fenger will give introductory remarks. The program will also highlight a case study of a recent assisted living facility evacuation and provide an eFINDS training session. \nPlease contact Lisa Fenger with any questions about the program.

DESCRIPTION:GNYHA will host a virtual Emergency Preparedness Coordinating Council (EPCC) meeting on October 23 at 10:00 a.m. Stony Brook University Hospital and Stony Brook Medicine will discuss its recent mass casualty incident (MCI) full-scale exercise\, including planning\, execution\, and lessons learned. The GNYHA Emergency Preparedness team will also provide emergency preparedness program updates and discuss future programming. \nA unique participation link will be e-mailed to you upon registration.
