SUMMARY:Hospital Mass Casualty Incident Notification Program Workshop (Option 2)
DESCRIPTION:GNYHA will host an in-person workshop on the updated NYC Hospital Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Notification Program. Identical sessions will be offered on March 5 and March 12. \nSince 2016\, GNYHA and the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) have collaborated on the Hospital MCI Notification Program to provide early warning to New York City 911-receiving hospitals about potential patient surges to emergency departments (EDs). Over the past several months\, a working group of hospital representatives—including ED clinical leadership\, emergency managers\, trauma-service representatives\, and New York City Emergency Management—convened to discuss and recommend changes to the NYC MCI plan. \nThis workshop will review the history of the MCI program\, changes to the plan\, FDNY operations\, and hospital considerations. GNYHA will also provide updates on next steps\, including a return to traditional quarterly hospital MCI advisory group meetings. \nPlease register for only one of the sessions. Breakfast will be served. A recording will be made available for those unable to attend either workshop.
