SUMMARY:EPCC: Healthcare Ready & NYC Pandemic Response Institute
DESCRIPTION:GNYHA will host an Emergency Preparedness Coordinating Council (EPCC) meeting on January 23. Healthcare Ready\, a not-for profit organization\, will discuss its mission and how hospitals can leverage its services during emergencies. Additionally\, the New York City Pandemic Response Institute will detail the development of the Region 2 Center for Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response. \nWe encourage members to attend in-person to see a demonstration from Carecubes\, a technology developed to deploy modular isolation solutions. The demonstration will occur at the conclusion of the EPCC presentations. Lunch will be served. \nEvent is hybrid in-person and via Zoom. See the registration link for more details.

SUMMARY:TRUST Training Informational Session
DESCRIPTION:HANYS and GNYHA are hosting an informational session during which OMH will discuss its upcoming specialized training to address aggressive and other difficult behaviors in Article 28 and Article 31 hospitals across the state. \nTherapeutic Relationships and Universal Safety Training provides a consistent framework for creating a facility-wide therapeutic milieu in which all staff members can be confident their interactions with individuals in care will contribute to their active improvement. TRUST consists of practices that have been shown to enhance patient and staff safety in hospitals. The program provides staff with the competence and skills necessary to prevent and manage crisis situations and incorporates previous OMH training. \nThis webinar is part of HANYS’ Preventing and managing violence in the healthcare setting series.
