SUMMARY:NYS Home Care Providers - Utilizing Wearable Duress Applications: An Emergency Management Webinar for NYC Home Care Providers
DESCRIPTION:As determined in the NYC Home Care Emergency Management Assessment Surveys conducted by HCP and HCA in 2021 and 2022 under a grant from NYC DOHMH Emergency Management\, emergency communications are a general area of concern for home care providers. To address that gap\, this session will describe the benefits of wearable duress buttons for home care workers in the field. \nA wearable duress button allows the user to covertly summon help when faced with a dangerous (or potentially dangerous) situation. Carole Deyoe\, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Special Programs at HCP will provide the topic overview. \nAttendees will hear from subject matter expert Paul Sarnese\, Owner\, Secured & Prepared Consulting. Paul will review the essential features for providers to explore when choosing a wearable duress button system and describe some bonus functionalities that might make a system more cost-effective or useful\, and/or expand its versatility for use in other aspects of your operations. With the benefit of Paul’s expertise\, home care agencies of any size will come away equipped to choose a system based on their needs. \nThe session will include time for Q&A. \nDon’t miss out on this valuable opportunity. Mark your calendars and register today to secure your spot at this essential event!
